Grant Castilow is co-owner of MyGreenBuildings, a Sarasota based design/build general contracting firm specializing in environmentally responsible home building and light commercial construction. Their completed homes have consistently scored at the highest levels of FGBC and Energy Star Ratings, and their most recently completed waterfront home is expected to become the highest FGBC scoring home in the State.
Prior to cofounding MyGreenBuildings, Grant was an operations executive with 15 years of construction and business development experience with two leading Fortune 500 companies.
Grant has a BS in Business Management from Johnson & Wales University. He is a Florida Certified General Contractor, a Registered Certifying Agent for the Florida Green Building Coalition, LEED Accredited Professional, and regularly provides Expert Testimony for construction industry litigation.
Steve Ellis is co-owner of MyGreenBuildings, a Sarasota based design/build general contracting firm specializing in environmentally responsible home building and light commercial construction. Their completed homes have consistently scored at the highest levels of FGBC and Energy Star Ratings, and their most recently completed waterfront home on Siesta Key is expected to become the highest FGBC scoring home in the State. Prior to cofounding MGB, Steve founded, grew and eventually sold a national environmental waste management consulting business after 12 years of steady growth. The firm services national and international Fortune 500 customers, and has trained hundreds of small business affiliates throughout North America. Steve has a BS in business management and marketing from Salem State College and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
John Ferrari is the Vice President of EcoAsset Solutions, a Tampa based subsidiary of Lykes Bros., which specializes in the outsourced delivery of corporate sustainability management services. As a co-founder of DwellGreen, John served as the initial Chief Executive Officer during the formation and launch of the company. He brings over 20 years of global management experience acquired in the telecom, financial services, and corporate sustainability sectors. John has lived and worked around the globe while holding executive roles at Nokia, LightPort, and EcoAsset Solutions.
John’s educational background includes the U.S. Air Force Academy, the University of Massachusetts, the FW Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, and Stetson University College of Law. He has earned a BS, MBA, and is currently completing his JD degree. A LEED Accredited Professional and Licensed Florida Real Estate Broker, John has also served on the boards of the Myakka River Branch of the US Green Building Council’s Gulf Coast Chapter and the Florida House Learning Center in Sarasota.
Greg Goebel is the President and CEO of Auto Dealer Monthly, LLC (the parent company of Greg Goebel Training and Consulting and Nations Premier Services), publisher of Auto Dealer Monthly (a magazine dedicated to educating auto dealers) and AutoDealerPeople.com (a social network for dealers, their teams and allied automotive industry professionals), and author of “The Complete Guide to Special Finance.” He is a noted auto industry trainer, consultant, speaker and author.
Since 1979, Greg has owned and operated businesses in the automotive industry, including Buick, Pontiac, GMC and Hyundai franchises and independent dealerships. Additionally, he owned and operated franchised auto repair locations in Indiana before acquiring the franchisor rights to a three-state area and developing successful franchisees throughout that territory. He spent 18 years as a dealer and 23 years as an owner/operator of service and parts operations.
In 1994, the Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association named Greg the Indiana Quality Dealer of the year, and in 1995, he created the Independent Dealer Twenty Group program formed through the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA) and NCM Associates.
He served as an officer on the Executive Committee of NIADA from 1996 to 2000, and has held positions on National Dealer Advisory Boards or Councils for Pontiac, GMC Truck, National Auto Credit, Universal Underwriters Acceptance Corporation, Household Automotive Finance and Hyundai Motor America.
Greg has a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management. He did post graduate work at Wharton Business School in Philadelphia.
Entrepreneur and adventurer, British-born Mike Meighan owns and directs the Global Expeditions Group, offering experiential and academic international programs for teens, college students and adults. Global Expeditions Group comprises the programs ActionQuest, Lifeworks International, Arc Academic Expeditions, Seamester and Sirius Sailing. Mike is active with the programs full-time, many of which he built from the ground up.
Mike holds a First Class Joint Honors degree from Southampton University, UK and a British NVQ Business Certificate.
Howard Nevins has served as the Chief Operating officer and on the BOD of U.S. Energy Systems, Inc. which was a leader in providing “green” energy via landfill gas to electricity, biomass combined heat and power, and geothermal energy. He has built several start up businesses to successful endeavors that have been acquired by public company’s including American Enviro Services, Inc., and Midwest Custom Chemicals, Inc. He is a member of The Nature Conservancy, on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of SW Indiana, Governor appointment to the Environmental and Safety Committee of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. He is on the BOD of School of Science and Engineering- University of Southern Indiana, Executive Committee- Economic Coalition of Southwest Indiana, and the Warrick County Indiana Redevelopment Commission. Nevins is a certified professional geologist in Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois. He has 30 years of oil and gas exploration and development experience and success in an attempt to lessen imports into the U.S. for these vital products. Mr. Nevins has a Bachelors of Science in Geology from Western Michigan University.
